323 days after his success at the Italian Endurance championship in Bibione and after a long battle against lymphoma, Cristian Bernardi came back to a crosscountry race on Sunday 4 August, earning himself the top step of the podium in the Xc Sospirolo, event organized on the paths of Belluno by the Bettini Bike Team.

The 22-year-old from Pederobba (in the photo by Alessandro Billiani) crossed the finish line in second place behind Under 23 Alberto Capoia, proving to be the first of the athletes in the Elite category.  For the biker another beautiful photograph to keep in the album of memories, along with that of the silver medal won last June 28 at the Italian Team Relay with teammates Marco Bramati, Under 23 Lucia Bramati, Nicole Pesse and Alan Zanolini.
