THE FRENCH OLIVIA ONESTI BRINGS TWICE THE TRINX FACTORY TEAM TO THE RAINBOW PODIUM IN ANDORRA

The week in Andorra seals the superlative season of Olivia Onesti and the entire Trinx Factory Team, who return from the Principality with two silver medals: the one obtained on Thursday in the Mixed Team Relay and, above all, the one won today by the young transalpine class of 2003 in the Olympic Cross Country event (photo by Maxime Schmid).

If on Thursday the Under 23 directed by Luca Bramati had shown her good feeling with the Andorra track, contributing to France's second place in the relay won by the USA, on Sunday the Frenchwoman completed the job by finishing second in the individual race: ahead of her only the Canadian Isabella Holmgren, who in an unusual mixed event between Elite and Under 23 finished even fifth overall. Onesti's performance was authoritative, able to securing second place already in the first two laps.

«She did her best, gaining the best result possible», confirms team manager Luca Bramati. «Olivia managed the race very weel and obtaining the best result that could be achieved, crowning a season which, although it is not over yet, we can already consider unforgettable».

Unforgettable also for the athlete, who returned to the mountain bike circus this year and was immediately competitive.

«Olivia will remember this race for a long time, not only for the podium, but also because in the last laps she caught up with the Olympic champion Pauline Ferrand Prevot, who guided her in the technical sections, setting her pace: being able to run side by side with a champion, who almost puts herself at your disposal, and finishing the race on the world podium is not something so usual».

Also competing at the Andorra World Championships the Italian Nicole Pesse (in the photo by Maxime Schmid), who took part in two races: on Friday the biker from Aosta finished in 24th place in the short track, while today the Italian vice-champion of the Under 23s he crossed the finish line in 26th place.  Same program for the Slovenian champion Vita Movrin, who in the short track achieved 33rd position among the elite women and today ranked 38th in the Olympic Cross Country.
